Pavlodar region sees pace of salary growth at 14% since beginning of year

Pavlodar region has posted a 14% hike in salary, while maintaining the employment rate at 4.7%, Kazinform News Agency correspondent reports.

Salaries make up 52% of the region’s expenditure budget, which shows its high social orientation. We manage to keep the low unemployment rate at a relatively low level of 4.7%, which is attributable to a creation of 26,000 jobs and salary increases, said Assain Baikhanov, governor of Pavlodar region at a briefing at the Central Communication Center. “The average salary surpassed KZT360,000 mark, with a rise of over 14% in nine months’ he added.

Baikhanov highlighted that 442 grants for the amount of 653 million tenge have been allocated to promote entrepreneurship and self-employment among socially-vulnerable groups of population.

According to him, 125 new sports areas have been delivered to promote mass sport in the region’s cities and villages.

The region has added 511 pieces of equipment and 40 ambulances in a move to improve the quality of medical services, with their share rising from 68% to 84%. The figure is expected to be brought up to 100% next year.

Earlier it was reported that 73 social facilities have been repaired and 35 new facilities are under construction in Pavlodar region.
