Peak hardship is behind for Kazakhstan and Russia - Premier, Sberbank Chair met in Astana
The parties exchanged their views on current situation in the international financial markets, discussed the issues of bilateral cooperation in banking sphere as well as activation of the Bank's activity at the Kazakhstani financial market.
According to Gref, Sberbank of Russia has extended business in Kazakhstan by 20 per cent, and intends to increase it up to 50 per cent. "We discussed our projects being implemented both in Kazakhstan and Russia, and we have great plans on promotion of our cooperation", - G. Gref said.
Discussing the current macroeconomic situation and scenario of the crisis development worldwide the parties stated that "the peak hardship is now behind for Kazakhstan and Russia" and now the countries' economies are on the way to recovery.
"Our estimate promise some growth in our economies next year", - G. Gref said. "Due to taken measures the crisis will be ended without negative consequences for bank depositors and population", he added.
