People's Assembly became foundation of interethnic accord and unity - G. Kan
"We are witnessing the important event. The goal of this campaign is unity and it is dedicated to strengthening and development of public consent and peace and accord in the country. This is especially relevant today when the situation globally is quite complicated in this sphere. We heard the address of the president and now we all have to draw certain conclusions. This year is a year of particular actions dedicated to celebration of the 550th anniversary of the Kazakh Khanate, 70th anniversary of the Great Victory and 20th anniversary of the Constitution," he said. G. Kan also emphasized that the people of Almaty had absolutely special feelings about the Assembly because it was initially established in Almaty. "Now we see that the Assembly became the foundation of the model of interethnic accord and unity. Participating in this event we are all determined to exert every effort to help our society become stronger and more united," he noted.
