Permanent Representative of Kazakhstan to the International Organizations in Vienna met with OPEC Head

ASTANA. April 10. KAZINFORM. Permanent Representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the International Organizations in Vienna Yerzhan Kazykhanov held meeting with Secretary General of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries Abdalla Salem El-Badri on April 8, 2009, Kazinform refers to the press service of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry.

The Kazakh Diplomat informed the Head of the OPEC of the main provisions of the President?s Address to the Nation, the status of the national oil industry, realization of multi-vector policy on supply of energy products to the world market, the complex of measures to tackle the world crisis, diversification and modernization of the economy and stabilizing role of the National Fund. Abdalla Salem El-Badri highly estimated the development of Kazakhstan, and expressed interest of the OPEC in expansion of the bilateral cooperation and invited our country to take part in the sessions of the OPEC conference as an observer. Upon the results of the meeting there was reached an arrangement on providing access to the analytical data of the organization.
