Peru to get observer status in EEU
MOSCOW. KAZINFORM - The Republic of Peru will get an observer status in the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) uniting Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia. The issue was discussed at the meeting between Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission Viktor Khristenko and President of Peru Ollanta Humala in Moscow, BelTA learnt from the EEC press service.

Viktor Khristenko told the President of Peru about integration processes in the Eurasian space, the goals and tasks of the Eurasian Economic Union. He also stressed the importance of cooperation between the Eurasian Economic Union and the Pacific Alliance, BelTA reports.
The participants of the talks discussed the opportunities for trade and economic cooperation, stressing a high level of mutual interest in developing cooperation. A decision was taken to start the preparations for signing the memorandum of understanding between the EEC and the Government of the Republic of Peru.
