Plane crash: President Tokayev awards Kazakhstanis for their heroic rescue efforts

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev awarded a group of Kazakhstanis who demonstrated courage and professionalism when rescuing passengers of the AZAL plane that crashed on December 25 near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan, Kazinform News Agency learnt from the Akorda press service.

Personnel of the Kazakh Emergencies Ministry, health professionals, police officers and workers of the Mangistau Electric Grid Company and the Aktau International Airport were awarded.

As written before, 38 died and 29 survived as Baku-Grozny flight J2-8243 operated by Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) crashed near Aktau, Kazakhstan, on December 25.

Earlier the President of Azerbaijan thanked Kazakhstanis for rescue and search efforts at the plane crash site. 

The Kazakh Transport Ministry revealed the details of the Azerbaijan Airlines plane crash near Aktau.

Earlier it was reported that the bodies of 10 deceased people out of 38 have been so far identified.
