Plant on production of road bitumen to be launched in December

ASTANA. August 6. KAZINFORM Investment project "Production of road bitumen at the Aktau Plastic Plant" will be launched at the end of December of 2012, the press service of the Ministry of Oil and Gas of Kazakhstan informs, according to Pm.kz.

"Presently, all the technological equipment, 80% of the capacitive and separator equipment, 60% of all the required air coolers have been supplied already," the statement of the Ministry reads.

Besides, it was noted that construction of all the facilities of the project was planned to finish by the end of December 2012.

Thus, the first batch of pipes with details of pipe lines and fixture (25% of the total volume), pump equipment, equipment for vertical stock tank, railway and truck terminals was supplied in May of this year. The equipment of desalinization, preliminary treatment of waste water, flare system, compressor and boiler equipment are at the stage of production or shipment.

Thus, it was noted that construction readiness for assembly of supplied equipment was ensured. Assembly works on the equipment and technical towers and terminals are presently held.

Besides, regarding the offsite facilities it was informed that the assembly and the first tests of the reservoirs, 14 storage places were held. Treating iron of receiving terminals, automatic bitumen filling stations as well as infrastructure and utility networks, etc. are constructed.

This plant is one of the biggest petrochemical projects of the State Program on Forced Industrial-Innovative Development of Kazakhstan.
