PM and entrepreneurs talk on economy issues at Pavlodar forum

PAVLODAR. November 14. KAZINFORM /Vera Livintsova/ - Prime Minister Karim Massimov and the managers of local companies and plants exchanged opinions at the Forum of Domestic Producers in Pavlodar.

«It was very hard, - President of ENRC Management KZ LLP Felix Vulis said. - The world prices have dropped; so did the orders.  But we did not fire any one. Now that we kept the staff and started working on improvement of Kazakhstan's content, the figures have improved and we are confident about the future».

«The devaluation was performed in due time, - Director of Pavlodar Machine Engineering Plant Leonid Belogriviy commented. - Tenge has cheapened and our overhead cranes and  bridge cranes have approached the Russian market ».

The Prime Minister said: «We did not let unemployment that threatened the country happen. Our industry is nearing 98 percent against the last year. There is hope that before the New Year we will catch up. Once we enter the Customs Union we can distribute our goods without borders and duties, however competition will be get even tough».
