PM and WWF-Russia CEO discuss chance of Turan tiger revival in Kazakhstan

ASTANA. March 25. KAZINFORM Today Prime Minister Karim Massimov has met with WWF-Russia CEO Igor Chestin in the Ukimet Uiy.

As the Prime Minister's press service reports, they discussed the issues of cooperation in the environmental sphere, including implementation of environmental projects which promote solution of the economic, social and environmental problems, which are interconnected between each other.

The WWF expressed interest in implementation of a project of revival of a Turan (Balkhash) tiger in Kazakhstan. To implement this task it was suggested to create the first in our country wildlife reserve in southern Balkhash area.
