According to Prime Minister Bektenov, the regional authorities fail to pay due attention to these issues.
It’s essential to provide financial and infrastructure support to regional hubs. I instruct the Digital Development Ministry jointly with the regional authorities to take measures to promote Astana Hub, support regional hubs and create favorable conditions to develop export-orientated areas of the IT industry, said Bektenov.
Bektenov also called training of high-qualified specialists in the IT sector is a priority task. To this end, the Digital Development, Science and Higher Education Ministry as well as the Enlightenment Ministry was tasked to form a concept of further development and training in close cooperation with Astana Hub and regional hubs.
We should no longer focus on the number of graduates, but on the quality of their training. It’s necessary to keep up-to-date the approaches towards improving digital knowledge and skills taking into account the best international practices, noted the Kazakh Premier.
Earlier it was reported that foreign IT specialists could obtain a residence permit in an online regime through simplified procedures.
