PM charged Ministry of Transport to elaborate action plan on public works on roads

KAZINFORM /Zauresh Balkenova/ The Kazakh Ministry of Transport and Communications has been charged to ?elaborate an action plan on the development of public works on roads of local importance?. Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Massimov has announced it at the Ministry?s Collegium; Kazinform reports.

?I give you an instruction to elaborate an action plan on the development of public works on roads of local importance.You should work out these mechanisms together with governors, on the one hand, it is an issue of quality of local roads, on the other hand ? employment?, the Premier said to Kazakh Minister of Transport and Communications Serik Akhmetov. According to the Prime Minister, quality of local roads raises unfavorable criticism. K.Massimov reminded that the main issue of 2009 is employment. According to K.Massimov, the protracted crisis has direct impact on the development of the transport sector. The Prime Minister noted that slowdown in production, including goods for export, which took place in the forth quarter of the last year, will continue in 2009.
