PM: Government to ensure implementation of President's tasks

Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov held a session devoted to the fulfillment of the President’s tasks set during the Government's Jan 28 extended meeting, Kazinform News Agency reports.

In the upcoming period, the Government must focus on ensuring economic growth, aimed at raising people’s living standards, Bektenov said.

In his words, the Government will launch prompt measures in all spheres and will ensure timely fulfillment of the President’s tasks.

He emphasized that the Government must focus on attraction of investment, reforming tax and budget policy and subsoil use sector, upgrading the country’s competitive advantages, improvement of business climate, infrastructure and energy development, building a comprehensive digitalization system and reformatting social protection system.

“Ministers and local governors must respond promptly and be fully responsible for the implementation of the tasks set,” he stressed.

According to him, a certain result is needed in each direction the Head of State mentioned.

Olzhas Bektenov stressed the importance of attracting and assisting investors, building plants, enterprises and productions.

The Prime Minister tasked government agencies to concentrate on quality fulfillment of the instructions assigned by the President and take decisive measures without unnecessary red tape.

He drew attention to a number of top-priority areas, with a focus on budgetary discipline enhancement and balanced distribution of budgetary funds. 

Previously, it was reported that the President of Kazakhstan held an extended meeting of the Government on Jan 28.
