PM held session of implementation of Forced Industrialization Program

Results of implementation of the State Program of Forced Industrialization for two and a half years including its main target indicators were considered at the meeting.
Deputy Minister - Minister of Industry and New Technologies of Kazakhstan Asset Issekeshev delivered a keynote reports at the session.
"In 2011, the country's GDP made 27.6 trillion tenge increasing by 11.5 trillion tenge against 2008. The real GDP growth made 16.7%. In 10 months of 2012, the biggest growth of the index of actual volume in the processing industry was achieved in the engineering sector (12.3%) and light industry (7.4%). The industrial production volume reached 12.1 trillion tenge including due to implementation of the projects launched within the Industrialization Map in 2010-2012," A.Issekeshev said.
The Deputy Premier also told about the dynamics of growth of foreign investments. "Over 5.7 billion U.S. dollars has been attracted since the beginning of implementation of the forced industrialization program. Beginning from 2009, the investments are attracted to the production of pharmaceutical products and production of computers, electric and optical products. Thereat, implementation of the Program conditioned gradual diversification of investment flows," A.Issekeshev said.
Deputy Prime Ministers, several Ministers and governors of the regions delivered their reports on implementation of the Program as well.
The Prime Minister emphasized the necessity to implement the forced industrialization program in the single-industry towns. "Every single-industry town can receive budget funds within the implementation of this Program. It is necessary for diversification of the economy of single-industry towns in order to develop small business around the strategic enterprises," Serik Akhmetov noted.
Summing up the results of the session, the Premier paid special attention to the necessity to fulfill the tasks set by the President of the country and ensure efficiency of the measures taken within the forced industrialization program and of the projects implemented within the Industrialization Map. The Prime Minister gave a number of instructions regarding completion of implementation of the Map projects scheduled for 2012.
"The results of the social and economic development of the country for 10 months of 2012 demonstrate positive dynamics. It is necessary to achieve the target GDP level in 2012 as well as to ensure reaching indicative parameters of economic growth in the regions," S.Akhmetov emphasized.
The Premier also addressed the issues regarding preparation of Astana for hosting specialized exhibition EXPO-2017. "We have a task to organize the exhibition at a high level. We will hold the first session of the commission on preparation of the EXPO-2017 soon," S.Akhmetov said.
The Prime Minister also said that the Program of Agro-industrial Complex Development till 2020 will be adopted at a session of the Government in December this year.
