PM holds session on struggle against drugs and drug traffic in Kazakhstan
ASTANA. May 8. KAZINFORM Kazakh Prime Minister held a session on the issues of a struggle against drugs and drug traffic in Kazakhstan yesterday; Kazinform refers to the Premier?s press service.

The corresponding national program for 2009-2011 elaborated by an ad hoc working group headed by Kazakh Vice Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov was represented to the session?s participants. The document is directed to development of effective measures on the struggle against illegal drug trade, effective obstructing on the way of their transit through Kazakhstan.
The Prime Minister backed provisions of the medium-term program of the struggle against drugs and drug traffic, charging to concentrate efforts on the Kazakh southern border strengthening for countering drug traffic.
The draft program will be considered at the Kazakh Government?s session in the nearest time.
