PM met Turkmen President in Tehran

ASTANA. March 12. KAZINFORM Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Massimov has had a meeting with President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow in Tehran within the 10th ECO summit, Kazinform has learnt from the PM?s press office.

The parties focused on the development of relations between Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan and confirmed commonality of interests on the regional and international levels as well as readiness for full scale and close interaction in all fields of cooperation. In addition, K. Massimov and G. Berdimuhamedow discussed the project on construction of ?Uzen-Gorgan? railroad and expressed interest in realization of the agreements reached by the Heads of Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Iran in this matter. Particular attention was paid to the project on construction of a Caspian gas pipeline. ?The work goes on in accordance with the schedule and there should be no problems in realization of the project?, the parties noted.
