PM reviewed results of implementation of Affordable Housing - 2020 Program

ASTANA. December 29. KAZINFORM On Friday, December 28, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Serik Akhmetov held a telephone conference focused on the preliminary results of implementation of the Affordable Housing - 2020 Program for this year, according to Primeminister.kz.

According to Head of the Housing Construction Savings Bank of Kazakhstan Nurbibi Nauryzbayeva, 32 agreements on construction of over 3 thousand apartments with the total floor area reaching 194 thousand sq m were signed with the local executive bodies. Taking into consideration the agreements signed in 2011, totally, 110 houses with 8021 apartments are planned to be built.

"Kazakhstan Mortgage Company" JSC received 21.4 ha of land in 7 regions of the country including Astana and Almaty cities. Construction of housing totaling 7.7 billion tenge is planned to be started on these lands in 2013, Chairman of "Kazakhstan Housing and Construction Corporation" JSC Kairat Aitekenov told.  

Head of "Samruk-Kazyna" Real Estate Fund" JSC Bolat Palymbetov told about the implementation of the Program by the Fund. According to him, presently, the Fund has received over 100 applications of constructors and private investors for joint implementation of projects in the housing construction sphere.  

According to First Deputy Minister of Industry and New Technologies Albert Rau, the construction of 16 house building factories is currently underway in Kazakhstan. The construction of 7 of them nears completion.

S.Akhmetov also listened to the reports of the governors of Kostanay, Pavlodar and Almaty regions on the Program implementation process.   

Summing up the results of the conference, S.Akhmetov paid special attention to the fact that implementation of new directions of the Program including construction of housing for young families and housing for all categories of population with an opportunity to buy housing through lease would be started in early 2013. "I instruct all governors to pay special attention to this issue and keep in under control," he noted.   

"The akimats of Astana and Almaty must ensure implementation of the annual plans of housing commissioning. The Agency for Housing Construction and Utilities should keep it under control," the Prime Minister said.
