PM satisfied with Almaty city development

ALMATY. March 16. KAZINFORM /Daniyar Sikhimbayev/ Prime Minister Karim Massimov has chaired a conference on socio-economic development of the city of Almaty and construction of sports facilities for Aziada 2011 today. The conference was attended by Akim of Almaty Akhmetzhan Yessimov, Vice Premier Umirzak Shukeyev, Minister of Industry and Trade Vladimir Shkolnik, Chairman of SamrukKazyna National Welfare Fund Kairat Kelimbetov, representatives of business associations, construction companies and banks.

As the Akim of Almaty informed, the city authorities had adopted an anti-crisis program for mitigation of negative impact of the global crisis. The program provides for implementation of measures on supporting financial system, small and medium businesses, construction sector and employment. ?In conformity with the President?s Address we have developed the city?s ?road map?. Implementation of these measures will allow to improve the socio-economic situation, increase local content in state purchases, provide about 47 thousand jobs and re-train nearly 4 thousand people?, A. Yessimov said. In whole, the Prime Minister expressed satisfaction with the development of Almaty.
