PM says Kazakhstan has plans to enter WTO this year

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan is planning to enter the World Trade Organization (WTO) this year, Prime Minister Karim Massimov said at a meeting with his Lithuanian colleague Algirdas Butkevičius in Astana.

"We've discussed a wide spectrum of issues related to our cooperation, including transport sector, mutual investments and many more. Kazakhstan is planning to enter the WTO this year and we would like to thank the European Union and Lithuania for supporting Kazakhstan's accession to this organization," Premier Massimov added. Recall that Lithuanian Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius is in Astana to participate in the Kazakhstan-Lithuania Business Forum today.
