PM visited Kazakhstan Electrolysis Plant JSC

PAVLODAR. November 14. KAZINFORM /Vera Livintsova/ Prime Minister Karim Massimov who is on a working visit to Pavlodar oblast has just surveyed the Kazakhstan Electrolysis Plant JSC. Head of the Plant Almaz Ibragimov acquainted the PM with the activity of the enterprise.

The foundation of the plant was laid in May 2005. In December 2007 the plant was put into operation, its capacity made 62.5 thousand tons of primary aluminum at that time.

This is the fist plant in Kazakhstan which is specialized in primary aluminum production. It is provided with most up-to-date equipment which lets manufacture high-quality products. The enterprise is one of the most high-technological and youngest in the world and in the ENRC structure. The Prime Minister highly appraised its potential and prospects of development.

Upon completion of construction in 2011 the enterprise will produce up to 250, 000 tons of aluminum per year due to alumina and energy supplied by the ENRC. 1,899 people are working at the plant at present. Their average wage makes KZT 96,568.
