PM: We must identify authorities assisting drug dealers
ASTANA. March 31. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Today at the Government?s session Prime Minister Karim Massimov has announced his intention to establish an ad hoc group for identification of the persons assisting in drug-traffic across Kazakhstan borders and their distribution on the territory of the country, among law-enforcement bodies and local authorities.
After hearing the reports of the heads of Kazakhstan's MIA, the National Security Committee and Customs Committee on fight against drug-business, K. Massimov assured that their initiatives on enhancing this struggle would be supported. He charged Serik Akhmetov, Vice Premier, to head the working group and develop a program proposed by the MIA within 30 days.
The Prime Minister also agreed with the MIA?s proposal on obligatory drug-testing of the school students and public servants.
