Police burn half-million dollars worth heroin in Karaganda
KARAGANDA. KAZINFORM - Karaganda police officers have burnt about 25 kg of heroin seized during a raid, according to the press service of the regional Department of Internal Affairs.

Two months ago, in Shet district of Karaganda region during special operation police officers apprehended two unemployed Shymkent residents with large quantities of heroin. The drug dealers have already been sentenced to lengthy terms of imprisonment. It was noted that the cost of heroin in informal market estimated to USD 450 thousand. "On the territory of Karaganda city Department of Internal Affairs police officers destroyed about 25 kg of heroin seized during the raid. Teenagers registered by the police and inmates of an orphanage witnessed the scene", the statement reads.
