Police offers to use GPS-monitoring of cattle
AKTOBE. KAZINFORM - Aktobe police have offered to install GPRS-trackers on animals aimed at cattle theft prevention, this has been announced by Muharan Amirov, head of the regional Internal Affairs Department.
"74.2 % of cattle theft committed in open pasture. We propose to install GPRS-trackers on animals aimed at cattle theft prevention. Cost of the device does not exceed KZT 5000", said M.Amirov.
According to his words last year the number of thefts of cattle increased by 37 %.
