Poll: only 35% respondents believe in official statistics data
ASTANA. January 13. KAZINFORM /Bayurzhan Mukanov/ 35% out of 1076 respondents consider the official statistics data as fully reliable. Vice Chairman of the Kazakh Statistics Agency Birlik Mendybayev has made it public at an enlarged session of the board today, Kazinform correspondent reports.
?As a result of a selective poll, 66.2% out of 962 respondents have expressed satisfaction with the Agency?s work while in 2007 this figure made only 50%?, he said.
?In 2009 we plan to bring the level of the citizens? satisfaction with the quality of the statistics up to 70% and by 2011 ? up to 85%, i.e. to the level of the leading European countries?, B. Mendybayev said.
