Polling stations in the Kazakh capital started their work at 07:00 am, Kazinform News Agency reports citing the city akimat.
460 polling stations opened their doors at large in Astana, of which 352 are open and 34 are closed. 74 more are located at the diplomatic missions and embassies of Kazakhstan.

The President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, established the date of the referendum on the NPP for October 6, 2024, and signed a decree on its holding on September 2, 2024.
