One of the strongest skiers in the world, Poltoranin was eligible, but did not start the 15km free pursuit for men on Sunday (March 16). Earlier, the Kazakh athlete was only 40th in Skiathlon, lagging 10 minutes behind the winner - Canada's Alex Harvey. Martin Sundby from Norway won the 15 km pursuit final.
