Poultry meat production in Kazakhstan shows growth
Kazakhstan produced 118,300 tons of fresh and chilled poultry meat this January-October which is 26.8% more as compared to the previous year. Of which 54,200 tons fall on dressed chicken, turkey, duck, and pearl-hens, Kazinform News Agency cites EnergyProm.
October recorded an increase in poultry meat prices by 0.3% in a month and year-on-year by 1.4%.
Poultry meat prices grew in 12 out of 20 regions of Kazakhstan with the highest price hikes seen in Astana by 13.6% followed by West Kazakhstan and Ulytau regions by 9.7% and 9%, respectively. The rest eight regions reported a decrease in poultry meat prices. Aktobe region reported the most reduction in poultry meat prices.
