Powerful earthquake shakes Tokyo
TOKYO. March 11. KAZINFORM A earthquake measuring 7.9 on the Richter scale hit Japan on Friday, with tremor being felt in the capital, Tokyo, regional media said. Kazinform refers to RIA Novosti.
Meteorologists issued a tsunami warning for the Miyagi, Iwate and Fukushima prefectures on the Honshu island following the quake, local television reports said.
There have been no reports about victims or damage.
