Pregnant foreigner detained in Almaty with 5 kg of heroin

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - According to the press release of the national Security Committee, a pregnant woman has been detained in Almaty with more than 5 kilograms of heroin.

Personal search of the detainee, who was the citizen of Kyrgyzstan, revealed five cloth bags with imprint with the substance of a light beige color. Examination found that the drug, weighing - 5 kg 140.68 gr, was heroin of Afghan origin. The woman was in the last stage of pregnancy, she had no ID documents. After a medical examination the woman was put into a detention center.
