Premier proposed to award President N.Nazarbayev with the highest state award 'Halyk Kaharmany'

TANA. November 29. KAZINFORM /Damir Baimanov/ Prime Minister Karim Massimov has nominated President Nursultan Nazarbayev for the highest state award "Halyk Kaharmany" (People's Hero). Minister of Justice Rashid Tussupbekov has voiced the corresponding additions to the Law "On state awards" at the Government's session.

"The Premier proposed to award the first President with the title "Halyk Қaһarmany" with handing over to him the "Golden Star" and Order "Otan". The President will have a status of People's Hero," R.Tussupbekov said.

The Minister noted that the award is handed over to the President taking into account N.Nazarbayev's role in development of the independent state.

"I offer to support K.Massimov's proposal," the Minister added.

The Government backed the amendments and sent to the Senate for further consideration.
