Preparation to OSCE chairmanship underway: Kazakh Foreign Minister
ASTANA. April 6. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ ?Issues concerning the structure of the OSCE, main problem, Kazakhstan?s vision of its role as the chairman of the OSCE in 2010 have been discussed today at the Governmental hour in the Senate of the Kazakh Parliament?, Kazakh Minister of Foreign Affairs Marat Tazhin said at the briefing.
The Minister said that he reported on the process of preparation for OSCE Presidency, in particular, on training, held by the Ministry abroad. Several dozens of diplomats and about 19 experts from other ministries that will exercise different functions within the Kazakhstan?s OSCE chairmanship in 2010 were trained.
Besides, some issues of Kazakhstan?s activity in the OSCE Troika were discussed.
?We have discussed a range of important issues regarding the Parliament?s and our Deputies? activity within the years of the chairmanship. We must put into effect the commissions of the President on implementation mechanisms. Organizational, technical, personnel work on preparation to the OSCE chairmanship, that was the main theme of today's discussion, is underway?, the Minister noted.
