Presentation of ?Astana? Encyclopedia takes place

ASTANA. January, 21. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ Presentation of ?Astana? encyclopedia, dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the city, was held in the Independence Palace of Astana, Kazinform correspondent reports.

?Ten years is a period which gives us an opportunity to estimate our work during this period and move forward. New encyclopedia ?Astana? gives us such opportunity. I am sure that each of you will find many interest facts of the city life during last 10 years?, Deputy Akim of Astana Amerkhan Rakhimzhanov said at the presentation. The publication puts up to the history of the city, its economy, ethnicity, culture, education, science, geographical landmarks, historical and cultural heritage as well as city development, including unique buildings and architectural complexes. Akim of Astana city Imangali Tasmagambetov is a Chief Editor and Chairman of the Scientific and Editorial Council, members of the Council are Deputy of the Senate Abish Kekilbayev, Minister of Culture and Information Mukhtar Kul-Mukhammed, academician Rymgali Nurgali, Director of the Presidential Center of Culture Myrzatay Zholdasbekov, and others. The Encyclopedia is published in Kazakh and Russian languages.
