Presentation of investment attractiveness of Uzbekistan held in Shanghai
A presentation on “Investment attractiveness of Uzbekistan” was held for representatives of more than 70 Chinese companies in Shanghai, China, UzA reports.
At the event, it was noted that the development of relations between Uzbekistan and China opens up great opportunities for the two countries, and cooperation in infrastructure, energy, agriculture and high technology significantly impacts the two countries’ economic development.
The participants got acquainted with detailed information about the reforms implemented in Uzbekistan over the past few years, the improvement of the economic situation, the development of trade and economic ties with the regions of Uzbekistan, and benefits provided to investors in tax and utilities.
The signing of an agreement on a 30-day visa-free regime for citizens of the two countries, the opening of direct flights on the Tashkent – Hangzhou route and other routes, and an increase in the number of tourists to Uzbekistan were also mentioned.
Earlier it was reported that the foreign ministers of Uzbekistan and China signed a mutual visa waiver agreement allowing their citizens a 30-day visa-free visit in both countries.
