Presentation of new buses on natural gas takes place in Almaty
Yesimov said that the new buses would help improve the ecological situation in the city, because buses on the gas come with less harmful emissions into the atmosphere. In addition, the buses are much more economical on gas.
"First, the cost of gas is cheaper than gasoline. Second, the gas is not gasoline, which can be poured and sold left and right. Therefore, the work of the municipal vehicle fleet has shown its efficiency and profitability. And from the townspeople there was a good response. In this regard, we have decided on expanding", said the head of the city.
The mayor added that the first municipal fleet was created to improve the quality of passenger services.
"For two years I have called private cabs to order. But nothing happened because there was no competition. That is why we have created the first bus fleet with vehicles on gas, which has been operating for three years", said the head of Almaty.
The 2nd municipal fleet is to start carriage of passengers in November.
