President attended 112 meetings and events of international character in 2008

ASTANA. January 13. KAZINFORM Kazakhstan?s President Nursultan Nazarbayev attended 112 meetings and events of the international character, including six visits abroad in the framework of bilateral relations, 11 multilateral summits and eight international forums in 2008; Kazinform refers to the country?s official mass media.

N.Nazarbayev held 13 press conferences and 15 briefings, gave interview to 20 leading foreign and domestic mass media. Besides, the President considered and signed over 2.700 documents, including 102 laws, 215 decrees, 115 instructions, 22 protocols, about 2 thousand of service documents, analytic and reference materials, 84 gratitude, 179 appeals of citizens. In 2008 the Head of the State was on business trips for 59 days, including foreign countries ? 20 days, regions of Kazakhstan ? 39 days.
