President charged to prepare Law on amnesty on occasion of 20th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence

ASTANA. March 15. KAZINFORM Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has chaired the session of the Security Council held in the Akorda today, the Presidential press service reported.

Assistant to the President - Secretary of the National Security Council Marat Tazhin reported on the state of the national security and tasks for the next period. He told about the main results of realization of the National Security Strategy in 2010.

The Head of State appreciated the process of implementation of the 2010 National Security Strategy of Kazakhstan. The necessity of finding the best ways and mechanisms to respond adequately on current risks and challenges was emphasized.

In this regard the President set a number of tasks before the Government and the state bodies. These are development of a new draft Law "On national security" and strategic documents in this sphere, new Law on the internal affairs bodies, etc.

The Head of State also charged the Government to prepare the draft Law on amnesty due to celebration of the 20^th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence.
