President completes state visit to India

ASTANA. January 26. KAZINFORM /Aigul Tulekbayeva/ President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev completes his state visit to India. Today he has participated in a parade dedicated to the Day of the Republic of India, Kazinform reports.

Minutes before the event, the President took part in a ceremony of awarding the Indian citizens who had displayed courage and bravery in different situations. Over 20 thousand policemen including 5.5 thousand militaries have ensured security in the zone of ceremonial procession. The parade is being broadcast live worldwide. The population of India made 1 bln 136 mln in 2007. According to the Indian Embassy in Kazakhstan 73% of people live in rural areas. The people of India speak in 16 languages, Hindu and English are official ones. India exports services, software products, agricultural and industrial commodities, textile products, jewelry, machines and equipment.
