President continues receiving congratulations on 19th anniversary of independence

ASTANA. December 25. KAZINFORM President Nursultan Nazarbayev continues to receive congratulatory telegrams on the occasion of the 19th anniversary of the country's independence, the press service of the President reports.

A letter form President of the Republic of Hungary Pál Schmitt writes: "The significance of the holiday increases due to the fact that this year Kazakhstan is successfully acting as the OSCE chairman. The culmination of the presidency was the OSCE Summit in Astana where I took part and had an opportunity to meet with you personally. In the field of bilateral relation we recognize Kazakhstan as an important partner. Hungary as the next EU chairman will pay special attention to development of a new Agreement on cooperation and partnership between the EU and Kazakhstan".

Czech President Václav Klaus wrote in a letter addressed to the Kazakh President: "I am sure that friendly and fruitful cooperation existing between our states will further develop in all spheres of mutual interest".

President of the Swiss Confederation Doris Leuthard has also sent a letter of congratulation.
