President highlights importance of accelerating NPP construction in Kazakhstan

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has received today Minister of Energy Almasadam Satkaliyev, Kazinform News Agency learned from the Akorda press service.

Minister Satkaliyev reported to the President on the results of the ministry's work and plans for the development of the country’s fuel and energy complex as well as on implementation of the major oil and gas and energy projects.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was reported about the course of heating season and operation of the major heat and energy supply facilities.

The Head of State tasked the minister to keep the heating season issues and energy infrastructure modernization projects under special control.

The President noted the importance of acceleration of the nuclear power plant construction in Kazakhstan.

Earlier, Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov reported to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on the fulfillment of his tasks to ensure economic growth and to improve social policy.
