President met Prime Minister and Speaker of Parliament of Finland

HELSINKI. March 24. KAZINFORM /Yernur Akanbai/ Within the official visit to Finland President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has met with Prime Minister of this country Matti Vanhanen and Speaker of the Parliament Sauli Niinisto.

The Kazakh President and the Speaker of the Finnish Parliament focused on the development of cooperation between the two states. The Head of the State noted the importance of activating relations between the RK and Finland Parliaments. ?We hope the Finnish Parliamentary delegation will visit Kazakhstan?, N. Nazarbayev said. The President highlighted that all agreements reached today would be submitted for the RK Parliament?s consideration. ?We hope for your support?, he added. Having expressed gratitude to Finnish side for supporting Kazakhstan in the OSCE chairmanship, N. Nazarbayev noted ?it is a great honor for us and we will exert every effort to justify your confidence?. ?Kazakhstan is known as a stable country having unchallenged weight in economy. We perceived Kazakhstan?s initiative on establishment of regional structure in Asia, like the OSCE, with interest?, Sauli Niinisto said. He noted the Kazakh President?s visit will give fresh impetus to the development of relations between the two countries parliaments. Issues of development of inter-governmental cooperation were discussed at the meeting of N. Nazarbayev with Prime Minister of this country M. Vanhanen.
