President met with CSTO Sec Gen

ASTANA. November 12. KAZINFORM Head of the State Nursultan Nazarbayev has met with Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Nikolai Bordyuzha, the Presidential press service reports.

N.Bordyuzha informed the President on the preparation process to the session of the CSTO Collective Security Council scheduled for December 10, 2010 in Moscow.

He also highly appraised the presidency of Kazakhstan in the OSCE.

At the briefing for journalists N.Bordyuzha said that 2010 was a breakthrough year of the Organization.

"This is due to the fact that a number of significant events on security provision are held within the Kazakhstan's presidency in the OSCE. This is also due to the fact that sharp questions have been addressed and the dynamics in their solution was achieved. But the main fact is the OSCE Summit. And this Summit is to be attended by vast majority of Heads of the OSCE member states", the CSTO Secretary General Said.

N.Bordyuzha also noted that Kazakhstan's OSCE chairmanship had a positive impact on the security system in the CSTO space.

The CSTO Secretary General said that the meeting of senior official of five international organizations such as the UN, the OSCE, the NATO, the CSTO and the CIS has been held for the first time as well.

"The second meeting of the senior officials of these organizations is to be held within the OSCE Summit in Astana. This proves that the coordination of the activity of international organizations specializing in security issues is improved", N.Bordyuzha said.
