President Nazarbayev: China - one of Kazakhstan's main economic partners

ASTANA. March 1. KAZINFORM China is one of the main economic partners of Kazakhstan and a leading investor into Kazakh economy. Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev said it at a meeting with Kazakhstan's media representatives on February 28 at Akorda; Kazinform refers to the Presidential press service.

The President told about the results of his state visit to the People's Republic of China.

"I highly appreciate the outcome of the state visit to China. The atmosphere of negotiations and their content fully reflect the good-neighbor, partner and trust-based nature of the Kazakh-Chinese relations. This has been my 15^th visit to China during 19 years of independence," N. Nazarbayev emphasized.

He noted that successful development of bilateral relations was based on a sound economic foundation. Last year the volume of bilateral trade exceeded USD 20 billion. China became the major export market of Kazakhstan and the second importer from Kazakhstan.
