ASTANA. April 25. KAZINFORM Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev told "Russia 24" TV channel about the advantages of "green economy" and its development in Kazakhstan.

"All that is happening today in the West, including the ongoing crisis and stagnation, to my mind, is the threshold of a technological boom. This crisis, this stagnation will result in a new economy, a new technological order. This is going to be a kind of breakthrough," he said.

The President noted that the next economy will be "green economy" that is environmentally friendly. Countries will need to move away from "dirty" industries, and this requires new technologies.

"That's why we strive to develop alternative energy. We are building large solar cells factories, developing new types of wind turbines, even despite the fact that we have oil and gas," Nursultan Nazarbayev stressed.

Nevertheless, the President believes that the mineral wealth must be also used, but with minimal damage to the environment. "It also requires money, new technologies and equipment. We must move in this direction. The "green economy" and the scientific-technological progress are moving together. The future is born in laboratories," the President concluded.
