President Nazarbayev pays state visit to Finland
ASTANA. March 23. KAZINFORM /Yernur Akanbai/ Today Head of the State Nursultan Nazarbayev has left to Finland with a three-day state visit; Kazinform reports.
According to a program, tomorrow Nursultan Nazarbayev will meet with President of Finland Tarja Halonen. Following the results of the meeting a number of bilateral documents will be signed. A press conference for mass media with participation of the two presidents is planned to be held.
Then the Head of the State will visit Hietaniemi memorial complex in Helsinki. Nursultan Nazarbayev will meet with Prime Minister of Finland Matti Vanhanen and Speaker of the Parliament Sauli Niinisto. ?Kazakhstan?s way? book will be presented. After this President N.Nazarbayev will deliver a speech to members of the Paasikivi Society. Finally, a state reception of Finland in honor of the President of Kazakhstan will be carried out.
On March 25 the Head of the State will visit ?Otaniemi? Technical Park, Research Centre for Micro- and Nanotechnology ?Micronova?.
Following the results of the meeting N.Nazarbayev is expected to give interview to leading mass media of Finland.
The official delegation includes Kazakh Minister of Foreign Affairs Marat Tazhin, the President?s aide on foreign affairs Kairat Sarybai, Minister of Environmental Protection ? co-Chairman of the Intergovernmental Commission of the Kazakh-Finnish economic cooperation Nurgali Ashimov, the President?s aide Asset Issekeshev, Minister of Education and Science Zhanseit Tuimebayev, Minister of Industry and Trade Vladimir Shkolnik, Parliament deputies Bakbergen Dosmambetov and Kenzhegali Sagadiyev.
