President Nazarbayev receives letter from Kyrgyz President for Transition Period Rosa Otunbayeva

ASTANA. October 23. KAZINFORM Head of the State Nursultan Nazarbayev has received a letter from President of the Kyrgyz Republic for the Transition Period Rosa Otunbayeva; the President's press service reports.

On behalf of multiethnic people of Kyrgyzstan R.Otunbayeva expressed gratitude to President Nursultan Nazarbayev and, in his name, to the fraternal Republic of Kazakhstan for great contribution to rehabilitation of the city of Osh, settlements of the Osh and Jalal-Abad oblasts. R.Otunbayeva noted that the emergency and effective humanitarian assistance rendered by Kazakhstan in the form of construction materials and food amounting to USD 11 mln influenced on stabilization of the situation and reduction of tensions in the southern Kyrgyzstan.

"I note with approval that the process of the assistance implementation is well under way. In the city of Osh the General Direction for Rehabilitation and Reconstruction constructs two residential estates for 139 families", R.Otunbayeva noted.

"On behalf of the Kyrgyz families I would like to thank you, Mr. Nursultan Nazarbayev, and wish you health, welfare and success in your state activity for the sake of prosperity of the Kazakhsatni people", the letter notes.
