President Nazarbayev says 'thank you' to Nicolas Sarkozy

ASTANA. May 7. KAZINFORM President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has sent a telegram to his French counterpart Nicolas Sarkozy today, President's press service reports.

"I wholeheartedly express my appreciation of your longstanding contribution to development of relationship between France and Kazakhstan.

Thanks to your energy, multifaceted cooperation between our countries has entered a level of strategic partnership. Upon your initiative and with your support our countries have implemented significant and large-scale joint economic projects.

At the time of economic crisis in your country, you rose into distinction as the reformist, you implemented numerous key reforms.

I am confident that your rich experience and inexhaustible energy will be used for the benefit of France and the European Union.

I highly estimate our friendly relationship and hope our cooperation will be continued in future.

My dear friend, I swish you new success and achievements," the telegram reads.
