President Nazarbayev to pay state visit to China April 15-19

ASTANA. April 9. KAZINFORM /Aigul Tulekbayeva/ President Nursultan Nazarbayev will pay a state visit to the People?s Republic of China (PRC) on April 15-19, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Kazakhstan Chen Gopin has announced it a briefing in Astana; Kazinform reports.

?During the visit Nazarbayev will negotiate with Hu Jintao, meet with Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People?s Congress (NPCSC) Wu Bangguo and Premier Wen Jiabao?, the Chinese Ambassador said. According to him, the Head of the State will take part in the Economic Forum in Boao, where he will deliver a keynote speech. The Ambassador said that the leaders of the countries would discuss prospects of strengthening Kazakh-Chinese interaction in different spheres of cooperation, will exchange opinions on regional and international problems, including the issues on overcoming the world financial crisis. ?The Chinese side pays big attention to this event and is preparing for it thoroughly?, the Chinese diplomat emphasized. He informed that during the visit a number of documents, including a joint communique, will be signed. Kazakhstan is the second large trade partner of the PRC in the CIS after Russia. According to the Chinese Embassy, the 2008 trade turnover between Kazakhstan and China formed USD 17.550 bln.
