President Nazarbayev wished prosperity and welfare to Indian people
DELHI. January 24. KAZINFORM /Aigul Tulekbayeva/ ?The agreements which will be signed between Kazakhstan and India will raise the two countries? relationships to a strategic level?, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has said to the journalists of Indian mass media, Kazinform correspondent reports.
As is known, the Head of the State is paying a state visit to India at the invitation of the President of this country.
?Over 280 Kazakh-Indian joint enterprises work in Kazakhstan today. Our country is the largest economic partner of India in the Central Asian region: more than half of commodity turnover of India falls at our country. We are going to sign several agreements in energy sphere, supply of Kazakh uranium to the Indian power plants and on joint work in information technologies?, N. Nazarbayev said.
The President also noted that other agreements which are expected to be concluded during the joint business forum will promote efficient cooperation of India and Kazakhstan.
At the very beginning of his meeting with the journalists, the Head of the State highlighted it was great honor for him to pay a visit to India and to attend the parade dedicated to the national holiday of the country. He expressed gratitude to President of India Pratibha Devisingh Patil for the invitation and congratulated the people of India on the Day of the Republic and wished them prosperity and welfare.
