President of EU Council accepted invitation to OSCE Summit

BRUSSELS. October 25. KAZINFORM /Dimash Syzdykov/ Head of the State Nursultan Nazarbayev extended an invitation to President of the EU Council Herman Van Rompuy to the OSCE Summit in Astana. The President told about it upon the completion of the meeting with the European Council President.

'We discussed the issues on holding the OSCE Summit in Astana. I am grateful that Mr. Rompuy accepted my invitation to the Summit', the Head of State noted.

Besides, Nursultan Nazarbayev emphasized that Kazakhstan and the EU share views on regional and global security. 'We discussed the issues of security in the region, problems of Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan and nuclear program of Iran', N. Nazarbayev added.
