President of Kyrgyzstan and German businessmen meet in Astana

As part of his working visit to Kazakhstan the President of Kyrgyzstan met with the representatives of the business community of Germany, Kazinform News Agency reports.

During the meeting, Sadyr Zhaparov drew attention to the potential of cooperation between the two countries in the construction of hydroelectric power stations, development of renewable energy sources, and logistics suggesting logistics companies of Germany to participate in strategic projects of Kyrgyzstan.

As stated there, projects on the construction of modern water reservoirs, modernization of irrigation systems and implementation of power-driven and drip irrigation are of strategic importance for Kyrgyzstan.

German businessmen expressed growing interest in the development of cooperation between the two nations, including cooperation in energy, logistics, industry, and the development of vocational education for Kyrgyz youth.

The President underlined Kyrgyzstan is open to active dialogue with Germany and is ready to improve conditions for doing business in the country.

As earlier reported, the President of Kyrgyzstan arrived in Astana to attend the second meeting in the Central Asia – Germany format.
