President of Malta receives Kazakh ambassador

KAZINFORM Andrian Yelemesov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Italy with concurrent accreditation to the Republic of Malta, presented credentials to President of Malta George Abela this week, Kazinform refers to the Kazakh MFA's press service.

President of Malta warmly greeted Kazakh envoy and expressed confidence his appointment would give a new impulse to the development of Kazakhstan-Maltese relations and boost quality of practical cooperation between the two countries.

The sides also touched upon the state and prospects of bilateral relations between the Republic of Kazakhstan and Malta in political, commercial and economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. A. Yelemesov briefed the Maltese leader on Kazakhstan's socioeconomic success and achievements in the international arena, as well as foreign policy initiatives in the context of "Kazakhstan-2050" Development Strategy: new political course of the successful country".

Positive dynamics of commercial and economic and investment contacts was noted at the meeting as well. The interlocutors agreed that cooperation in tourism and transport and communication spheres could be of mutually beneficial character. It was also mentioned that Kazakhstan and Malta should expand collaboration in the field of information technologies.
